What Constitutes Junk

Junk:  What constitutes junk?

We are often asked by many of our customers to detail exactly what kind of items we collect and dispose of as part of our house, garden, office and garage clearance work so we thought we’d compile a handy list.

Our junk removal teams are able to recycle many items including the ones listed below

Green Waste/Biomass
Hedge trimmings, trees, branches, grass, trunks & shrubbery

Household Items
Packaging, clothing, sofas, furniture, beds, wardrobes, carpets & tables

Construction/Demolition Debris
Timber, concrete, asphalt, masonry, drywall, roofing, insulation, carpeting & renovation debris

Metal
Ferrous (iron, steel) and non-ferrous (aluminium, copper, stainless) metals

Glass
Bottles, building glazing, vehicle glass & windows

Plastics
Packaging, bottles, empty drums, mixed plastics

Paper
Office paper, newspaper, corrugated cardboard, paper packaging, phone books, medium-density fibreboard, mixed paper

Tyres

Electrical Waste

White Goods
Appliances such as cookers, fridges, freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers & dishwashers

As you might guess this list is by no means exhaustive but should give a flavour of the typical day to day items and junk we collect.  If you’re in doubt feel free to contact us at any of our branches and we’ll be only to happy help.
