This week Rum joined Harris, Iona, Uist, Bute, Jura and Mull on the Junk-it fleet.
Our trucks are integral members of the Junk-it team so of course, they all have names! Our junk trucks are custom built on ISUZU chasis to our specifications and we get excited everytime we’re awaiting the arrival of a new truck. What with delays caused by the after effects of covid and it’s affect on global supply chains, it’s been a much longer than anticipated wait for our most recent arrival. However, it’s finally here! When we started out in 2006, we simply named our trucks G1 and G2. However, somewhere along the way, we decided that was a bit boring and instead started naming the trucks after Scottish islands. Over the years we’ve retired Skye, Arran and Barra. We’re currently running Harris, Iona, Uist, Bute, Jura, Mull and now Rum too! So, welcome to the Junk-it fleet Rum!
