If you’ve not heard of Giving Tuesday before, it’s a global day of giving which falls on the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Think of it as a sort of counter balance to the biggest weekend of consumerism of the year! Anyone can get involved on Giving Tuesday, and it’s not about money. You can do something as simple as making a donation of unwanted clothes to a charity shop or baking a cake for a neighbour.
Our Junk Heroes were out and about doing good deeds on Giving Tuesday!
This year, we decided to make Giving Tuesday a day to help out in our local communities. Our Junk Heroes spent the day out and about doing free pick ups for charities, churches and community groups. Most of our guys also had someone in mind that they wanted to help. One free uplift was a random act of kindness for an unsuspecting customer who was having a really bad day!
Even on a regular day, being a Junk Hero comes with a considerable feel-good factor. Our customers are often in difficult or stressful situations when they get in touch because they are moving house or clearing the property of a loved one who has passed away. Whatever the situation, our friendly, efficient and professional team can make a big difference, quickly.
