From Obsolete Outbuilding to Open Garden Space

In this recent project, our team was tasked with the full demolition and removal of a wooden garage structure that had become unsightly, impractical and potentially hazardous.
Although it was originally built as a garage, the structure was timber-framed and closely resembled a large garden shed. Our client wanted it dismantled, removed and cleared away quickly, with minimal disruption to the surrounding space.
The Challenge
The garage was located between two properties, with limited access and hard landscaping that needed to be protected during the removal. Inside, the structure was cluttered with leftover materials and debris, making the job more complex. Our team needed to work carefully, safely and efficiently to complete the project without damaging nearby surfaces or boundaries.
Our Approach

- Site Inspection and Preparation
We carried out a full assessment of the structure and surrounding area. Our team planned the safest dismantling process and cleared the work zone to allow easy access for tools and loading. - Careful Dismantling
The roof and outer panels were removed first, followed by internal supports and flooring. We worked manually throughout, avoiding any risk to adjacent buildings or garden features. - Waste Removal and Sorting
Once the structure was down, all timber, fixtures and waste were sorted and loaded directly into our truck. Recyclable materials were separated to keep landfill waste to a minimum. - Final Site Clearance
The area was swept, cleared and left safe and tidy. The concrete base was fully exposed, providing a clean slate for the client’s future plans.

The difference was immediate.
Before: A deteriorating wooden garage taking up valuable space and restricting access.
After: A clear, open area that can now be used for storage, landscaping or leisure.

The client was extremely pleased with the results. Not only was the structure removed safely, but the clean-up was thorough and the team was friendly, punctual and professional throughout. Another successful shed clearance completed to our usual high standards.
