One of the things we challenge ourselves to do most here at Junk-It is continuously think up creative new ways to recycle the items we collect. For the first time ever we’ve just added a 6.5-tonne vehicle to our fast growing fleet - a big step up in size from our usual 3.5-tonners. This new truck takes our fleet up to seven in total and offers us the important benefit of greater weight capacity for heavier jobs. It comes to us fresh off the production line as per our company policy of only ever buying brand new low-emission vehicles.

In a new move to offset carbon emissions from our fleet of trucks and become completely carbon neutral as a business, we are delighted to announce a partnership with the Woodlands Trust.
Recently we got an unexpected call from a large national supermarket chain asking us to make an unusual collection. Iceland had accidentally overbought 450 loaves of bread for one of their brand new store openings! How do you recycle THAT???
The VIBES awards recognise Scottish Businesses that have shown commitment, action and achievement in reducing their impact on the environment.
