As we have mentioned in previous blogs, there’s nothing worse than sitting in an overcrowded house full of junk. It makes you feel cluttered and disorganised (unless you are the ones among us who collect everything and can’t bear to throw anything away due to sentimental value!). However, most of us have to be ruthless at some point in our lives, otherwise we would be living in a permanent jumble sale.

We thought you might like to know a little more about our partnership with the Woodlands Trust. Our commitment to only ever purchasing new vehicles to carry out our collections ensures that we are always in the most fuel efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles possible. Even our cool trucks though still unavoidably produce some Co2 emissions, that’s why we decided to partner with and donate to the Woodlands Trust to pay to have these emissions offset by the planting of new saplings!

Watchdog’s exposure of fly-tippers last night on BBC1 was commendable in our opinion. It highlighted the true cost of what has become a scourge on our society and the lengths that unscrupulous waste carriers will go to in order to avoid paying the appropriate disposal costs and cash in on a ‘fast buck’!

MFI was established in 1964 and was a national British furniture retailer. We recently completed our biggest EVER project clearing 5 floors of Napier University’s Merchiston Campus as part of a brand new £100m refurbishment.
