Legally Compliant Junk Removal
All junk, rubbish, unwanted and broken household and commercial items that Junk It are asked to remove are 100% disposed of in compliance with the Law. As a ISO14001 accredited company we are not a fly-by-night operation and we really do our bit to ensure that we do all we can to help the environment.
When we uplift items from a premises we prepare and sort them according to the their destination. For example, we send fridges to a licensed treatment facility to remove the freon gas properly.
Responsible Hazardous Waste Removal
It’s not just hazardous waste such as fridges that requires legally compliant disposal. Typical items classed as hazardous waste that we can remove and dispose of include:
- Light bulbs
- Air con units
- Fire extinguishers
Below are just two of many jobs Junk It have undertaken which involved WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and hazardous waste that required our legal compliance.
Prince’s Trust Office Junk Removal
The bags in the photo were full of documents that required secure disposal. We use an industrial shredder to dispose of paperwork, binders, accounts, etc and shred the contents and bag. A certificate of destruction is always given to our clients upon completion for compliance purposes.
There was also a quantity of WEEE to dispose of including monitors, fluorescent bulbs and computer hard drives. None of these items can go to a normal transfer station but instead require special processing and disposal, all of which we take care of.
BUPA Home Junk Removal
We collect from all the BUPA sites and the photo shows a typical example. They regularly clear furniture such as broken beds, wardrobes, chairs, etc that are broken or worn. They also dispose of a large number of waste appliances as the photo shows. We provide a fully audited waste trail as well to ensure compliance.
